Beverly Homes named this community Peru Plantation "at Six Mile Creek" because the community is located near where Six Mile Creek flows through to the Black River. Black River is the blackwater river that originates at the conjunction of several swamps just to the south of the city of Bishopville and flows southeasterly on the coastal plain of South Carolina, emptying into the Great Pee Dee River a few miles north of Georgetown, then flowing into Winyah Bay. The Great Pee Dee River and the Waccamaw River both drain to the Atlantic Ocean through Winyah Bay.


Homes are selling from the middle $300's. Beverly Homes is offering 3,4, and 5 bedroom models. There are both waterview and privacy lots available in Peru Plantation. The homeowners dues are under $100 a month. Beverly Homes is building Peru Plantation in phases. The first phase has 11 single family homes. The second phase has 15 single family homes. A third phase has about 70 single family homes.
